A Playboy model has been forced to apologise after she mocked a woman changing at her local gym for all her social media followers to see.
Dani Mathers, who is the former Playmate of the Year, shared a snapchat of a naked woman getting changed at their gym, accompanied by the caption: “If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either.”
But the 29-year-old later removed the post, apologised and told followers that she’d only meant to send the snap to her close friend.
The damage was already done however, with hundreds taking to Twitter and Instagram to slam her for her actions.
“It’s people like you that make others feel uneasy about changing openly in locker rooms. Appalling” wrote one Twitter user.
Another wrote: “Stop. You aren’t sorry you did it, you’re sorry you got caught and are getting blasted.”
It’s believed Dani posted the photo after a workout at her local LA gym, before deleting it as the backlash mounted.
She issued a lengthy apology, telling followers “I chose to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know body shaming is wrong, that’s not what I’m about and this is not the type of person I am.”
Dani added she had “nothing but respect for women” and pleaded with her followers to forgive her misjudgement.
She ended her apology by saying she needed to “reflect” on why she did this horrible thing, before her Instagram and Twitter pages appeared to be taken down.
