New house, new city, new job and a new baby- there’s no denying that the last 12 months have been a whirlwind for broadcasting star Ali Pugh!
Chatting exclusively to Woman’s Day, it’s clear the former Breakfast host has embraced all that’s changed around her, including the controversial presenter shuffle that saw her ousted from her role.
But, things could not have worked out more perfectly, the stunning journalist tells.
“I feel almost blessed with how it worked out. I think I’d said to someone, a few weeks before it all happened, my dream job would be three days a week, in Christchurch.”
And that’s exactly what transpired; with Ali, 30, returning to her former reporting role on 1 News part time.
Spending time with daughter Thea, Ali tells, is the most important part of her life right now, and says sacrificing the Breakfast desk was an easy decision to make.
With her baby girl turning one later this week, Ali and fiancé Jo Barus’ biggest priority is watching Thea grow up, and the proud mum making sure she’s around for all of her first milestones.
“She’s up to five steps now!”
