International pop star Adele is planning her not-so-big day, and wants it to be strictly casual.
While she may be worth $162 million, according to Heat magazine, the ‘Hello’ singer has no plans for a lavish wedding.
She’s reportedly planning a down-to-earth get together, where she’ll serve sausages and mashed potatoes for dinner.
“Adele is still on tour, so she would be happy with a simple knees-up with her closest friends,” a source close to her told the magazine.
The 28-year-old is set to tie the knot with fiancé, 42-year-old Simon Konecki at Christmas in Los Angeles, and has been joking that she’s happy to be “a budget bride”.
“Adele said she doesn’t want her wedding to be formal and show-offy. She wants it to be about who they are as a couple.”
“Adele would happily have a small ceremony, then dish out the bangers and mash afterwards. She’s not tight – she’s happy to pay for everyone to have a great day – she just doesn’t want it to be stuffy.”
Adele and Simon share four-year-old son Angelo, and Simon’s nine-year-old daughter form a previous relationship.
The happy couple got engaged last October, after five years together and are reportedly living in a $6 million mansion in Beverly Hills.
“After the LA wedding, she’ll have a gathering back at home, so no one feels left out. It won’t be star-studded either. She will invite all her old mates she grew up with, as well as old mates Alan Carr and Sid Owen, too. She doesn’t really drink, but there will be plenty of booze on tap for her guests to make sure they enjoy themselves.”
When it comes to the dress however, Adele reportedly wants a bright hue.
“She’s considering a splash of colour, but it will still be traditional.”
The bride-to-be has also just announced her very first New Zealand concert on Thursday March 23rd, 2017.
