Cate Blanchett and hubby Andrew Upton recently announced they adopted a baby girl, Edith Vivian Patricia Upton.

In 2015, Cate Blanchett’s rep confirmed the star had adopted a baby girl named Edith with her husband Andrew Upton.

Madonna has adopted two children, David and Mercy, from Malawi. She also has two biological children from previous relationships, Lourdes and Rocco.

Sandra Bullock adopted her son Louis Bardo Bullock not long after he was born in 2010, when she was still with ex-husband Jesse James.

Angelina Jolie adopted her first child Maddox from Cambodia in 2002. After meeting now-hubby Brad Pitt, the couple adopted two more children together (Zahara, 9, and Pax, 11) and had three biological children: Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6.

Charlize Theron adopted baby Jackson in March 2012, after waiting two years for the process to be finalised. “It took two years of waiting, and then one day, it’s finally there, and it feels exactly how it’s supposed to feel… It just feels right,” she told Ellen DeGeneres at the time.

During their 11-year marriage, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise adopted two children together, Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony. Nicole also has two daughters from her second marriage to Keith Urban, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Katherine Heigl and hubby Josh Kelley have adopted two little girls together, Naleigh (from South Korea) and Adalaide (from the US).
