L’Oreal has been very busy lately, as this news comes just days after it was revealed Naomi Watts will also be a spokeswoman for the brand.
Dame Helen, 69, will be the face of the Age Perfect line of L’Oreal Paris products, and she is also the latest older star tapped to be the face of a leading beauty brand. L’Oreal is especially known for its diverse group of ambassadors, which includes 56-year-old Andie MacDowell and 76-year-old Jane Fonda.
Talented Helen played down the hype around her new role during an interview with The Daily Mail, staying modest about her own beauty.
“I am not gorgeous and I never was, but I was always OK looking and I’m keen to stay that way,” she said.
“I have always loved the L’Oreal Paris brand, and I hope I can inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks. We are all worth it!”
