More than five million women have gone on strike in Spain.
The 24-hour strike on International Women's Day has seen Spanish women walk out of their jobs and stop doing domestic chores for the day.
Hundreds of thousands of women have joined protests around the country to highlight gender inequality, domestic violence and sexual discrimination.
The mass action, backed by the country's unions, has also been supported by some of Spain's top women politicians, journalists and celebrities.
In the day of protest, under the slogan "Without us the world stops" women are also being encouraged to not buy anything.
The demonstration has resulted in many roads being blocked in major cities as women march to voice their concerns about the country's 'macho culture' and gender pay gap.
