The one thing you should never wear going to the airport

It's not what you'd expect!

Airport security can be a real hassle; not knowing which piece of your jewellery will set off the metal detector, forgetting about that loose change in your pocket, or awkwardly removing your belt in front of everyone.

But out of all the things that set off the alarm, there’s one little thing most of us wear that airport security officers would love to see less of.

Bobby pins.

According to Kimberly Pruitt, a TSA officer for more than 5 years, those little clips can be a real pain at airport security.

“Believe it or not, too many bobby pins will set off the metal detector alarm,” she told Who What Wear.

“If you’re looking to maintain your hair and skip the pat down, then I would suggest getting dolled up after the screening.”
