She may be an Oscar award-winning actress, but quirky, female-centric comedy is Sandra Bullock’s strong point.

In The Heat, Sandra stars as uptight, straight-laced, FBI agent Ashburn, who is sent off to Boston to work with unconventional officer Mullins (Melissa McCarthy).

In a classic “opposites attract” buddy comedy, the women struggle to accept each other’s different crime-solving methods, but learn a lot about friendship.

A great chick flick, if you don’t mind a bit of bad language.
