A mum from Los Angeles, California, has created a brilliant series of cartoons, focused around what it’s really like bringing up kids.
From the demands of breastfeeding, to the harsh realities of having teenagers (namely, that everything you do is ‘soooo uncool’), the cartoonist that calls herself Betje is ticking all he right boxes today.
Describing herself as a “baby wearing, co-sleeping, breastfeeding mother,” the cartoonist creates funny comics about her life as a parent, and we’re pretty sure many other child rearers will appreciate them too.
From reasons why you’ll never be bored, to reasons why you’ll never be able to oversleep, we’re kind of obsessed with Betje’s cartoons.
And while many of Betje’s cartoons focus around the mad world generated by children, some of them are also really touching.
The “great advantages of having kids” are listed as things like appreciating the ordinary, and their pure, unbridled honesty.
