Best dressed celebrities this week

From a film festival and gala in New York to one of the most highly anticipated award shows in Australia, here are the dresses worth seeing this week.

Between the Tribeca Film Festival events, Time 100 Gala for the ‘most influential’ people, and the Logie Awards we were spoilt for choice for our best dressed list this week.

Among the show stopping gowns, there are also sartorial risk takers, including Meryl Streep and Jessica Biel, in striped pants and a ruffled-up tweed dress respectively.

Jessica Biel’s tweed Self-Portrait dress is anything but twee, with a thigh-high slit and off-the-shoulder ruffles, teamed with sleek hair and black heels.

Scream Queen actor Emma Roberts stepped out in a Coach outfit that was just the right mix of vintage and contemporary design.

Lady in red Emma Watson wore a powerful fashion statement by Italian designer Gabriela Hearst while visiting Twitter headquarters this week.

Emmy Rossum wore plenty of print in this Marni two-piece, with a perfectly paired pink lip.

Our favourite gown to grace the Logie’s red carpet was this Paolo Sebastian couture number worn by Carrie Bickmore.

Meryl Streep defies fashion logic by making Beetlejuice trousers look chic, teaming them with a black blazer, white shirt, and retro spectacles.

Sarah Paulson stood tall in this hand-embroidered tulle and lace gown off the Rodarte runway this week.

Blake Lively wore a chantilly-lace Marchessa gown for date night with Ryan Reynolds, which also happened to be the Time 100 Gala night.

Actor-director Chloë Sevigny managed to pull off a Kermit green, velvet dress by Alessandra Rich at Tribeca with a mix of eclectic accessories.

Actor and newly-wed Margot Robbie wore just the right amount of diamonds in this streamlined Prada dress.
