Ally describes herself as “hilariously awkward” and confesses she is a hopeless romantic with a heart of gold. She moved to NZ from her hometown Worcester in the UK when she was 19 and has settled in Nelson where she is a qualified yoga instructor with her cosmetic tattooing business. The best advice she’s ever been given is from her Dad who said that “life is what YOU make it” – now one of many impressive tattoos she’s had inked on her body.
Do you have any hidden talents? I can twerk, do the splits… and I have a sloth tattoo on my butt!

Canterbury girl Bel’s passion for travel and adventure brought her to Auckland where she works in the tourism industry. What advice did your family give to you ahead of your time on the show? If you’re not nervous, your heart isn’t in it.
What would you cook on a first date? I love to cook. I would make a fresh salad with homemade bread and vege lasagne, then a homemade chocolate tart, with bubbles!

Account manager Charlotte auditioned for The Bachelor NZ because she hopes to meet that someone special to travel the world with. She’s a qualified massage and beauty therapist, and has also worked on cruise ships, but is still looking for a career she is passionate about. Very active, Charlotte does a twerking class once a week to keep fit and she loves activities involving surf and snow. She thinks her friends would describe her as outgoing, loud, friendly, caring, funny and crazy!
Describe an embarrassing moment: I tried to ride a scooter in Thailand and I drove straight across the road and crashed into a mechanic’s car. Luckily just the number plate fell off and I dodged the lamp-post!

Aspiring interior designer Claudia is looking for someone she can be her “lovely weird self with”. At 21 she’s travelled extensively, and has been to every continent except for Antarctica. She’s very close to her brother and parents; they are there for her no matter what and always remind her that if things aren’t going quite right, they will get better. She is such a fan of Anthony Kiedis from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, she has read his autobiography four times!
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for someone? I’m quite fond of the old love letter! Otherwise, creating a study ‘tool kit’ for someone. I put lots of quirky and cute things into a tool box and left it in their room on their bed for them to come home to.
What made you want to be on The Bachelor NZ? A new experience and an alternative way to find love. If it doesn’t work out, at least I will have hopefully learnt something new about myself.
ELAINA

Always smiling, Elaina has recently qualified as an early childhood teacher and has a BA in Languages and Linguistics. What’s your favourite sport? I love doing a bit of muay thai boxing for exercise and enjoy watching UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

Born and bred in Southland, account executive Hannah now calls Auckland home. Former cheerleader and gymnast Katey says her friends would describe her as loud, confident, bubbly, clumsy, energetic and a bit of a lunatic! She’s recently graduated from film school and enjoys going to the movies, drinks with friends, eating out, playing indoor netball and going to the gym. Her strategy for her time on The Bachelor NZ is just to be herself.
What would you cook on a first date? I would make sushi because that’s my favourite food and he has to love sushi.
What do you hope to get out of this experience? Ideally to end up liking Zac and to get the final rose. I would also like to come out with heaps of new girlfriends.

5Sales area manager Monique is no stranger to being in the spotlight with her beauty pageant background. She entered Miss Universe New Zealand in 2015 thinking at best she may make it to boot camp round, but made the finals and got to travel to the Philippines for charity work and be part of a show at SkyCity. Her dream date would be to go whale watching – combining her love of travel and nature. The best advice Monique’s mother ever gave her was to “build a bridge and get over it.”
