Trooping the Colour 2016

The Queen’s 90th birthday has been officially marked at the 2016 Trooping the Colour parade.

Thousands of people lined the streets of London to be part of the special occasion and take part in the annual parade.

Queen Elizabeth gave her royal wave from the balcony of Buckingham Palace but all eyes were on little Princess Charlotte who made her official balcony debut.

The tradition of the Trooping the Colour ceremony was as grand as ever, seeing hundreds of soldiers take on the honour of marching for Her Majesty.

The event is one of the most spectacular days in the royal calendar and dates all the way back to the 17th century.

The Queen’s actual birthday is on April 21 but is always officially celebrated in June.
