During his tour of the Carribean, Prince Harry had avoided the topic of his new girlfriend Mehan Markle, until now.

While carrying out official duties as part of his royal tour in Antigua, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne brought up Harry’s relationship with the actress.

“I understand that there may be a new addition to the royal family very soon,” he said in front of a huge crowd including international media, reports E News

“I am told that there may be a princess, and I just want to say that should you make the decision to honeymoon, then Antigua and Barbuda want to welcome you.”

The embarrassed 32-year-old, who had not mentioned his romantic life at any point during his official visit to the West Indies reportedly looked down at his feet.

Speaking on behalf of the Commonwealth country, the Prime Minister said, “We have been voted consistently as the best honeymoon destination in the Caribbean—and one of the best in the world—so there will be nowhere in the world as special to spend your honeymoon when that day arrives.”

Later that night, the politician reportedly told reporters he thinks Meghan “is a very beautiful looking girl” and said she and Harry “make a very good looking couple.”

He also went on to give the Suits actress his seal of approval, saying, “Yes, I heard about her, and I hear they are speculating that they will now get married. I hope that Harry and Meghan come here for some quiet time very soon.”

However, later on in the evening, the Prime Minister went on to introduce Harry to a group of beauty queens, assuring him that “whatever is done here, stays here. So do not worry.”

Meghan might also have another lady to compete with, as Miss Antigua and Barbuda Leanda Ann Norville also has her sights set on the prince.

“He was a gentleman. Of course, I want to be his princess. Everyone at this party does,” she said, according to E! News.

“His girlfriend seems like a nice lady,” she added, “but I would be a good girlfriend for him.”

Harry has been on an official tour of the Caribbean since Monday, when he touched down in Antigua.

On day three of the trip, he visited neighbouring isle Barbuda where he attended the unveiling of the dedication to The Queen’s Commonweath Canopy and Arbour Day Fair and showed he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty planting trees.

It was emotional return to the island for Harry, who last visited as a 12-year-old with his late mother, Princess Diana and brother William, then 14.

The Prince then visited school children from Holy Trinity Primary School on Barbuda, where he read them stories and played games with the kids.
