Meghan Markle’s half-sister isn’t impressed by Prince Harry’s comments about her family

“No one was estranged, she was just too busy.”

Prince Harry’s recent Radio 4 interview unearthed a lot of gems, including a rare interview with his dad and what it was like celebrating Christmas with his fiancée, Meghan Markle.

The prince gushed about how much fun he had introducing the American to his family’s Christmas traditions and playing with the kids.

“I think we’ve got one of the biggest families that I know of and every family is complex as well,” he said.

“She’s done an absolutely amazing job. She’s getting in there. And it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had.”

That comment hasn’t sat well with Meghan’s notoriously vocal half-sister, Samantha Grant.

“Actually she [Meghan] has a large family who were always there with her and for her,” she said on Twitter.

“Our household was very normal and when Dad and Doria divorced, we all made it so it was like she had two houses.

“No one was estranged, she was just too busy.

“Meg’s family (our family) is complete with sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the glue of our family, our amazing completely self-sacrificing father. She always had this family… Marrying merely extends it.

The mother-of-three, who claims to have helped raise Meghan, believes her sibling has always had royal ambitions, musing, “Her behaviour is certainly not befitting of a Royal Family member,” before adding she was driven by “social climbing.”

“Hollywood has changed her. I think her ambition is to become a princess.”

“It was something she dreamed of as a girl when we watched the royals on TV. She always preferred Prince Harry — she has a soft spot for gingers.”

The pair has not been on speaking terms since 2008.
