Lorde gave fans another glimpse into her highly anticipated sophomore album Melodrama today with the release of brand new single “Perfect Places”.
Created with producer Jack Antonoff, the track is the final song from the album (due for release on June 16) and follows Lorde’s previously shared tunes “Liability” and “Green Light”. The Auckland-born star has also debuted the songs “Sober” and “Homemade Dynamite” during her performances at the Coachella music festival in the US.
Introducing the song on Twitter, Lorde called it one of her “favourites” from the album – and it’s been met with plenty of praise from both fans and critics alike, with Rolling Stone describing it as “strikingly more confessional than her other songs”.
