Kelly, 33, took to Twitter earlier today to announce the birth of her son Remington Alexander Blackstock.
“Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love!” she wrote.
This is Kelly and Brandon’s second child, joining their adorable 22-month-old daughter River Rose. The ‘Heartbeat Song’ singer first announced she was pregnant midway through a concert in August last year, telling her fans: “I was not planning on announcing this but … I’m totally pregnant.”

As well as River and Remington, Kelly is also step mum to Brandon’s two children Savannah and Seth from a previous marriage. The busy mum juggles family time with a hectic recording and touring schedule and even found time to pen a children’s book inspired by her daughter River – but as she told People last year, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I never thought I was going to be a mom, so it’s very much changed my world in the most awesome way,” she told the magazine.
“I love what I do, but I feel like I relied on my career a lot for my self-worth. And now I’m more than that.
“I’ve accomplished a lot, but I guess the biggest success I want is that whenever I die people will say, ‘She was so successful as a mother, and as a wife.’ That’s kind of my big goal.”
Kelly’s first child, daughter River Rose (pictured here with Ellen DeGeneres) was born in in June 2014.
Kelly, whose troubled relationship with her own father inspired the lyrics to her emotional single ‘Piece by Piece’, has also spoken out about her love for hubby Brandon and how amazing he is at being a father.
“When you hold this little human you’ve created, now I think I understand the depth of the loss I had not having a father figure growing up,” she told the Associated Press last year.
“I didn’t really get that or grasp what that was until falling in love with my husband and seeing him be a father and what that actually is when it’s done well.”
Earlier this year, Kelly’s heartbreaking performance of ‘Piece by Piece’ on American Idol hit headlines after judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban were visibly moved by the powerful lyrics.
