Orlando Bloom’s infamous nude paddleboarding photos caused quite the stir when they found their way online last year, but Katy Perry (his girlfriend at the time) has always chosen to stay silent on the matter.
Until now, that is!
In an interview with KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O, Katy spoke candidly about the day those photos were snapped, while the couple were enjoying an idyllic getaway in Sardinia. The “Bon Appetit” songstress revealed that Orlando had also asked if she wanted to strip off as well while they were out on the paddleboard, but she declined.

“He asked me if I wanted to be [naked] and I was just like, it’s one of those things where I was like, ‘Oh Nah,'” she said, joking that she had “a lot of therapy” after the incident.
Katy went on to explain that she wasn’t “in the mood” to strip off while in the ocean, but instead waited until the couple had made it back to their private yacht.
“You know when you’re dating someone sometimes, it’s exciting to be like, ‘Oh should we try and make out over here in this place?’ or what have you, and I was just not in the mood. I saved it for the boat!”
Katy later quipped that Orlando got naked “to show off for all the people back at the shore”.

Orlando himself also joked about the photos during his own interview on a BBC radio show back in April.
“It’s been talked about so much I’m over it already. My poor son! He’s got a lot to live up to … I broke the internet,” the Pirates of the Caribbean star quipped.
Katy, 32, and Orlando, 40, dated for roughly a year before announcing their split in March. The couple first went public with the romance in January 2016, after they were pictured getting cosy at a Golden Globes after party.
