As we countdown to the start of the Rio Olympics on August 6, we go behind the scenes with some of New Zealand's top athletes to find out what it takes to succeed.

In the lead up to the Rio Olympics, the Weekly have snuck behind the scenes with some of New Zealand’s top athletes for a bit of one-on-one training.

Teaming up with SKY Sport presenters Scotty Stevenson and Melodie Robinson, every Friday we will find out just what it takes to reach the top of the sporting ladder.

This week, New Zealand’s top Olympic women’s single sculler, Emma Twigg, puts the oars in the hands of Scotty – with some interesting results.

Known as the rowing powerhouse, Emma had just one shot to qualify for her third Olympics after taking time out to study off-shore last year – and she triumphed!

Her top performance at the ‘Regatta of Death’ saw her labelled as the one to beat on race day, so watch this space.

You can catch Emma in action on SKY Sport across several days starting on Sunday 7 August at 11.30pm, before the single sculls final on Sunday 14 August.
