Five anti-ageing products you need to know about

Simply You's Beauty Editor handpicks five products to restore your skin.
Anti-ageing skincare products

When your body’s metabolism starts slowing down, so too does collagen production and cell turnover in your skin.

Here is our pick of the luxe new skin-savers to look out for:

The A-Game

From the new Skin Essenti A range, Environ’s Mild Cleansing Lotion, $77, is enriched with jojoba seed oil to moisturise skin while cleansing, and sorbitol, a humectant derived from corn syrup, to keep it supple.

Two become one

If you want a quick fix, La Prairie Line Interception Power Duo, $490, promises results in just 14 days. It uses specialised peptides that work at different levels in the skin to prevent muscles from contracting, and the resulting formation of lines, by inhibiting the signalling pathway.

Gold Standard

With a new and improved formula, Elizabeth Arden’s Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum, $150 (60 capsules), works to increase the skin’s ceramide levels and improve the barrier function.

Face up

Brighten dull-looking skin with Elizabeth Arden PRO Illuminating Enzyme Masque, $130. The rich, creamy mask contains energising chlorogenic acids (from coffee beans), ginger root extract and vitamin E.

Eye candy

Lancôme Absolue Eye Precious Cells Intense Revitalizing Eye Cream, $224, has been reformulated using rose centifolia extract to fight wrinkles and Pro-Xylane to prevent water loss and boost the volume of delicate skin.
