What your lipstick shape says about you

Does your lippie match up with your personality?

Many things give us an insight into our personalities: our feet, what colours we associate with emotions and now, according to one makeup artist, our lipstick.

You may think the way you apply lippie and the shape it naturally forms is meaningless but Cynthia Christ – makeup artist at Sensia Studio in Texas – believes it can speak volumes. So, she mapped out the lipstick shapes of her clients then pinpointed their traits to come up with some sort of lippie personality chart which was subsequently turned into a meme and has been floating around the internet ever since.

Obviously, this is just a bit of fun and not an exact science but hey, that’s what you came here for!

First, pic the shape of your used lippies from the diagram above. Got it? Good. Now, on with the results…

Original

Even as a kid, you were all about the playing by the rules although you’ve never been one to be the one making them – you’re more of a follower than a leader because you cringe (and blush) at being the centre of attention.

A little self-conscious and somewhat shy, you don’t have a huge group of friends but the ones you do have are true friends who know you inside and out – particularly your obsession with organisations and lists, which they (and your family) are actually a little thankful for when you go on holidays and have a well-thought-out itinerary.

Pointed

It’s fair to say you love life and make use of every moment you can – whether that’s getting up early for a yoga class or to meditate.

You’re a bit of an enigma to some people particularly men who find you mysterious (or just think you’re too vain to talk to them), but for those who do manage to crack through your exterior, you remain faithful to for doing so.

Whether you’re bogged down at work or in the middle of a nightmare situation in your personal life, you’re curious nature means your are always questions to help find the easy way out.

Flat

You don’t beat around the bush when it comes to saying what you think and with your (somewhat impossibly) high morals, sometimes that can get you into strife!

That said your redeeming quality is certainly your dependability – your inner circle know they can always count on you. Well-groomed at all times, you’re careful about your appearance – which is often quite conservative, just like you are.

Your quick mind is the reason you love (and are always up for) a challenge. That said, before setting off on a radical life change or big decision you always need the tick of approval from friends and family.

Angled

You’re a little ball of energy, constantly talking a million miles an hour often about all the new ideas you’ve had.

You don’t even apologise for the fact, you love people lavishing attention on you and this is the way to get it.

Because of your ridiculously positive outlook on your life, you fall in love easily and are a really good friend – helping with moves, when there’s a breakup, or just generally whenever anyone needs it.

Because your mind is like a lit up phone board, you need a schedule and try to stick to one… although hate doing so thoroughly, you’d much rather just wing it.

Diagonal

You can be somewhat polarising due to your opinionated and argumentative nature which may rub some people up the wrong way.

That said you don’t mind having a smaller friendship group because you only like to keep company with the people you really want to anyways, and they like you because of your ‘glass-half-fun’ approach to life.

You devote a lot of time to those core friends and are often out and about socialising with them and end up the centre of attention at these gatherings – something which suits you just fine.

Concave

When one of your friends needs information on the man they have just started dating or their ex’s new partner, they turn to you.

Constantly asking questions, you get a rush out of probing into other people’s business.

That said, it’s that same curiosity which has seen you go places and make good choices in your life – work, social and romantic. After all information is power!

A live-wire who loves adventure, you make new friends easily and, despite being a complex character, tend to keep them.

Round

You are the ultimate friend – and have a lot of them because you’re just so likeable.

If those friends had to describe you, the one word they’d pick would be easygoing.

Nothing really bothers or upsets you, it’s all water off a duck’s back.

In fact when there are problems in your inner circle you’re known to be Switzerland, acting as a peacemaker until a truce is called.

Your friends know they can count on you, and you like taking care of them by surprising them little presents, or helping organise their kids’ birthday parties.

Curved

You’re all about family and your family are all about you because you’re just so lovable (aside from your stubborn streak).

Constantly doing things and going out on adventures, your stories have became legend in your inner circle, although so has your ability to sometimes exaggerate for effect!
