Alex Walls and her husband, Corban, wowed New Zealand with their talent and dedication to win The Block NZ in 2014.

In the three years since, the couple have welcomed their little boy Austen, and Alex has started her own homeware company, Alex & Corban Home, in Auckland.

As a busy mum and business owner, Alex says finding time for herself hasn’t been easy.

“It’s really tricky. I have found that routine is really important not only for Austen but for myself too. I make sure I go for a walk every day and if I get the timing right it allows me time to eat well and get jobs done in between the baby’s naps. Then the business at the moment is my night time job!”

When it comes to keeping her skin looking healthy, Alex needs a simple solution.

“At the moment, it’s mainly about it being part of my routine. Something fast, simple but effective,” she says.

Alex sat down with Dermalogica to have her face mapped and find out how she can look after her skin, while juggling work and home life.

What is Face Mapping?

Face Mapping®, Dermalogica’s unique skin analysis, provides insight into your skin’s past and present, and allows the subsequent prescription of a targeted home care regime for a healthy skin future.

A Dermalogica Professional Skin Therapist uses Face Mapping® to divide the facial landscape into fourteen zones. Each zone is examined to determine where conditions such as congestion, breakouts, dehydration, and/or hyperpigmentation are present.

Alex’s Skin Analysis: Fine lines around eyes and pigmentation

Alex’s Face Map prescription:

  1. PreCleanse

  2. Special Cleansing Gel

  3. MultiVitamin Thermafoliant

  4. Pure Light SPF 50

  5. Skin Smoothing Cream

  6. MultiVitamin Power Firm
