Morning routine

Regular day-to-day beauty is kept pretty simple for me.

I usually get up and drink a glass of water first and foremost – then pop into the shower.

I love salon shampoo and conditioner. My favourite is the Pureology Hydrate range.

I honestly think this makes a massive difference and because it’s a bit more pricey you use less of it and as a result it lasts longer.

Most mornings I will straighten my hair while using a Joico heat protector spray.

I then use a Neutrogena Moisturiser with SPF, put on some Benefit Gimme Brow and Benefit They’re Real Mascara and off to work I go.

I carry a small canister of Batiste dry shampoo with me. This is so good, even to just add some volume or make you feel more fresh if you get an unexpected invite somewhere.

I also carry spare hair ties (preferably rainbow coloured – you never know when you will need to tie up your hair!) and emergency lipstick in case I get a last-minute invite.

Nights out

For nights out I use:

Benefit – Porefessional

Estee Lauder – Double Wear (This is the best! A bit pricey but lasts for ages if you don’t use it all the time)

Benefit – Watts up Highlighter

Benefit – Hoola Bronzer

Eyeko – Liquid Eyeliner

Benefit – Gimme Brow

Benefit -They’re Real Mascara.

Also fake eyelashes are SO great at making your look extra glam. I found them hard to put on – but once you master it, it’s totally worth it!

If I want to add some waves and curl to my hair I have the Remington Keratin & Argan Oil Nourish curler.

It doesn’t have a clamp and it is so easy to use. I usually curl all of my hair and then brush it out to loosen them a bit with a Tangle Teezer (so much better than a regular brush).

It’s really easy and doesn’t take long.

I think a lipstick can change everything. If you keep a bright one in your handbag for emergencies it’s the way to go.

I really love NYX matte lipsticks for the price and product. My favourite colour is Pure Red for a pop of colour.

Also there is a really cool New Zealand brand called Mellow. They have affordable lipsticks and a great everyday colour called ‘nude’.

Beauty Advice

My beauty icon is my mum. She is 60, looks great and her skin is so amazing. She taught me to celebrate my own skin and how important it is to drink a lot of water – best life tip ever!

When I was in my teens I used to wear a lot of make-up. I really think less is more nowadays and I prefer keeping it fresh and only wearing a SPF moisturiser day-to-day.

Your insides make up your outsides and that is the most important make-up item of all!
